Mario García Álvarez (Chaitén, 1964) poet and writer, Spanish and Philosophy teacher , by ULS (1984 – 1988) place where he was a university leader. He has published: “(Des)Pliegues de Papel y Follaje” and “Poemas In-Publicos” (Edit. Barba de Palo, Valdivia 1995). “Los Palafitos.... del Paisaje” (Ediciones Aumen, Valdivia, 2000). In an early stage of his life he participated in the literary workshop Aumen from Castro – Chiloé. He has received awards and distinctions for his literary work. Some of his works have been translated to Italian and Portuguese and also its work has been compilied into literary anthologies such as “Poesía Chilena desclasificada (1973 – 1990)” Vol. “ (Edit. Étnica, Santiago, 2006) “Anaconda, antología poética de autores latinoamericanos” (edit. Poetas.Com, Roma, 2003) “Carne fresca, poesía chilena reciente” (edit. Desierto, México, 2002) Abrazo Austral: Poesía del Sur de Argentina y Chile(Ediciones del Instituto Movilizador de Fondos Cooperativos, 2000) Nowadays he is performing classes as a professor at Universidad Los Lagos, Liceo Politécnico de Castro and has succesfully finished the courses from Programa de Doctorado en Ciencias Humanas c/m en Discurso y Cultura (Doctor degree in Human Science c/m in Speech and Culture) from Universidad Austral de Chile.
Eduardo Berrios (Cerillo de Tamaya, 1964): Artist (drawing, painting and pottery), Art teacher (1982 – 1987) joined Aguja's workshop and was president of his career. Nowadays he works in a Sename (National Child Center) center from La Serena and belongs to the ArteCo organization.
Luis Contreras Lucot (La Serena, 1965) is a visual artist and a musician (wall artist and draftsman) Art profesor from ULS (1984 – 1988) joined the “Taller Inti” and “Coñaripe”. Nowadays he is working in a Sename (National Child Center) center from La Serena and he is also participating from Taller Cultural de Las Compañías “Terquirque”.
Hernán Godoy (Vallenar, 1964) Visual artist by ULS (1982 – 1986) he joined Taller Aguja, nowadays he is the president of the Santo Domingo Association Artists from La Serena, honored member from Arte Co. and Profesor from ULS.
Samuel Guerra (Ovalle, 1964) Visual artist, Art professor from ULS (1983 – 1989) he joined the Muralist Brigade BRP from ULS, nowadays he has settled in Copiapó where he works as a teacher and he is part of the Artistic Fusion Association “Kutraltun”.
Leo Lobos (Santiago de Chile, 1966) Poet, translator and visual artist. He has published, among other books “Cartas de más debajo” (1992) edited by the Art Faculty of Universidad de Chile and Arrayán Editores + poesía (1995), Ángeles Eléctricos (1997) Camino a Copa de Oro (1998) and an anthology selection of poetry Turbosílabas which joins his writings from 1996 until 2003. Un sin nombre (2005) and Nieve (2006). His artistic activities are being developed in Santiago, Brasil and France.
Daniel Palominos (Ovalle, 1953): Artist (pottery, wall, sculpture and painting) has had a brillian career. He is an Art professor from ULS (1980 – 1985). Nowadays he is working as an independent artist from Las Compañías – La Serena.
Iván Zambrano (1963): visual artist, Art professor from ULS (1983 – 1987) where he was a participant from Taller Aguja, graduated from Art at Universidad Católica. His work has been recognized in contests and exhibitions. |
